Helen Dancak Obituary

Helen Joyce Dancak, 98, passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. She was born and raised in Lott, TX. After graduating from Lott High School, she went to Austin, TX, and attended Durham Business College. She met and married Aldon V. Dancak. She was a homemaker while sons Donald and Kenneth were in school, and then she worked at St John's Lutheran Church and Weight Watchers in Austin, TX. She loved being with her family and dogs, dancing, traveling, and crafts. Helen is survived by her two sons and their wives, Donald Vernon Dancak and Cheryl Hill Dancak and Kenneth Dale Dancak and Cynthia Witkowski Dancak. Her grandchildren are Alisa Marie Roberts and Donna Linn Brinegar and her husband Steven Ray Brinegar. Her great grandchildren include Katie Marie Stackpole and Brian McLain Stackpole.
She is preceded in death by her husband Aldon V. Dancak; her parents, Herman and Mary Friudenberg; her sisters Beatrice Minter, Mary Louise Menzies, and Gladys Peters, along with their husbands.
A graveside funeral service will be on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at 12:00PM at Cook-Walden / Forest Oaks Memorial Park (6300 W William Cannon Dr, Austin, TX 78749). In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Austin Humane Society.
