Helen J. Demsko

Helen J. (Johns) Demsko, 80 passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2024, in her Spring Township residence surrounded by family.
She was the loving wife of Robert J. Demsko for 55 years, marrying in 1968.
Born in Baltimore, MD, she was a daughter of the late James and Eileen (Stokes) Johns.
Helen was originally employed by Stewart's Department Store of Baltimore, where she was a fabric buyer for the chain. She later was employed and retired from Aetna Insurance as a customer service representative.
After retirement, Helen volunteered for many different charities, most notably at the Rainbow House of Berks in HIV/AIDS Hospice. This was during the time when much wasn't known about the disease.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children: James Demsko, Reading, Robert Demsko husband of Jamie, and Rebekah Graybill, all of Wernersville; one brother, Timothy Johns husband of Colleen; a sister Phyllis Boulden wife of John; four grandchildren: Jacquelyne, Alexis, Sydney, and Riley; and one great-grandchild, Luna.
Helen was predeceased by three siblings: James, Ruth, and Eunice.
Services will be Saturday June 1, 2024, at St. John's Reformed Church, Sinking Spring PA. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m.-11:00 a.m. followed by a service at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers Helen wanted donations to go to Youth for Christ Metro MD, 8900 Belair Rd, Baltimore MD 21236 or St. John's Reformed Church, 4001 W.
