Helen Dudiak, 98, of Cabot, formerly of Natrona Heights passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at Concordia, Cabot. She was born on August 13, 1927 in Brackenridge to the late Vincent and Josephine (Zemotel) Modrzejewski Miller. Helen graduated from St. Joseph High School in Natrona in 1945. Helen worked at the Aluminum Company (Alcoa) in New Kensington, Murphy's 5&10 in Tarentum and later at the former Joseph Horne's in Natrona Heights. In 1949 she married Chester Dudiak and had four children, all of whom were raised in Natrona Heights. Helen was a member of Guardian Angels Parish in Natrona Heights. There she belonged to the Christian Mothers, Ladies Guild and the Pro-Life Group. For over twenty years she studied karate with Father Connolly and earned her Third Degree Black Belt in Se-Jong Taekwondo in 1995. Helen loved playing cards, sewing, knitting, crocheting, cooking and baking. She enjoyed fishing with her husband and boys. Once her picture was in the Valley Daily News with a trophy musky and the headlines read, "Leave to a Woman". Helen also enjoyed traveling to their camp in Titusville as well as to Oklahoma City, Washington D.C., Las Vegas, London, the Bahamas and especially Italy, where she saw Pope Paul VI in 1975. She also traveled to Philadelphia in 1979 to see Pope John Paul II.
Helen is survived by her four children, Miriam of Florida, Joe (Linda) of New York/Florida, Bob (Susan), of Florida and John, of Florida. She also leaves behind five grandchildren, Brian (Christina), Maureen (Jeff), Adrienne (Kody), Eric (Lauren) and Christopher (Jess) and 10 great grandchildren, Ethan, Mitchell, Julia, William, James, June, Ada, Lilah, April and Quinn and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband of 74 years, Chester Dudiak on August 11, 2023, brother, Harry, sister, Dorothy and son-in-law, Fred.
Friends will be received on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle Street, Natrona Heights 724-224-8688, where a parting prayer service will be held on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. in Most Blessed Sacrament Church. Entombment will be in Our Lady of Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Helen may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
