Helen Virginia Eubanks, 84, of Winamac, Indiana, passed away Sunday November 5, 2023 at Northwest Health-La Porte, IN.
She was born April 26, 1939 in Knox, Indiana, the daughter of Joseph and Virginia Sirovy.
A lifelong resident of the area, Helen graduated from high school, then married and raised her children. She worked in the foundry for Accurate Casting and had her own Re-Sale shop in Knox. Helen practiced Catholicism and lived her faith by helping others and being a very giving person. She had the soul of a farmer and loved gardening and planting and could make anything grow. Helen enjoyed traveling and meeting new people and her outgoing personality assured her of many friends. She collected birds and angels, was an avid shopper and just enjoyed life. Her beloved family will miss her dearly.
Helen is survived by her daughter, Sandy McSurley of Westville, IN; two sons, William Eubanks of La Porte, IN, Charles Eubanks of La Porte, IN; brother, Jonathan Sirovy; five sisters, Elizabeth, Mary, Margie, Virginia, JoAnne; grandchildren, Michelle and Lynne Eubanks and great-grandchild, Jasmine.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Joseph Sirovy.
Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends for a visitation on Sunday, November 12, 2023 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Cremation will take place.
Memorial contributions may be made to the to the family in care of Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services 602 Maple Ave. La Porte, IN 46350.
