Joyce FERNLUND

Age 98, of St. Paul Passed away peacefully on September 30, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; children, Vicki Peterson and Janice Bradley; and great grandson, Gabriel Lonetti. Joyce is survived by her children, Joel (Margie) and Nancy (Mark) Christopherson; 10 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren; 1 son-in-law; sister, Mary; brother, George; sister-in-law, Gloria; and other extended family and friends. Joyce was born in Baldwin, WI and moved to St. Paul when she was 19. She married Robert on August 18, 1945. She was a long time 3M employee. Joyce loved to golf, read, go walking, fishing, and being in nature. She also enjoyed playing different puzzles and games like word search, cards and bingo. She will be deeply missed by her family. Family would like to send a big thank you to her HealthPartners Hospice team and the lovely caretakers at Homestead of Maplewood. A funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM on Friday, October 7, 2022 with visitation from 10 AM until time of the service at Mueller Memorial, 835 Johnson Parkway, St. Paul. Private Family interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Any donations will be given on behalf of Joyce to charity.
