Helen R. Foor

Helen R. Foor 100, formerly of Manns Choice, died Friday, March 28, 2025 at Homewood at Martinsburg. She was born on March 8, 1925 in Dudley a daughter of the late John and Anna (Woomer) Waugerman. On November 1, 1945 in Evansville, IN she married Sheldon L. Foor who preceded her in death on October 4, 1994. She is survived by two sons: Thomas Foor and wife Kim, of Mechanicsburg, and Edward Foor and wife Julie, of Martinsburg, WV; two granddaughters; Shelley Foor, of Rome, Italy and Amber Foor, of Martinsburg, WV; two brothers: Clair Waugerman widower of Carolee, of Manns Choice, and David Waugerman and wife Teresa, of Ridgeley, WV; many wonderful nieces and nephews, and a special friend Maggie Robertson. She was preceded in death by her son, William R. Foor, and two brothers: John Waugerman and wife Harriet, and George Waugerman widow Nancy, of Osterburg.
Helen was a 1942 Graduate of Bedford High School. She was a member and pianist of the Manns Choice Methodist Church, and later attended the Milligans Cove Christian Church. She was a member and past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, Bedford Springs Chapter #41. The family would like to thank Homewood of Martinsburg for their compassionate care of Helen.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2025 at 1:00 p.m., in the Chapel at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford, with Pastor Russell Hoffman officiating. Burial at Rays Cove Cemetery. Friends will be received on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of the service at the funeral home.
