Roger L. Martin, 72, of Bedford, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at his residence. He was born on March 16, 1953 in Frostburg, MD, a son of the late Paul and LaVada (Donius) Martin. On April 12, 1997 in Bedford, he married Tina P. (May) Martin and she survives along with the following children and step-daughter: Aubrie Davis of Mt. Savage, MD, Jared Martin of Palm Harbor, FL, and Denielle Hickey and husband Charles of Hampstead, NC; five grandchildren: Tyler Davis and wife Shayla, Ella, Sawyer, Miles, and Clara Hickey; a great-granddaughter: Riley Davis; and anxiously awaiting the arrival of another great-granddaughter coming in July.
Roger graduated from Mt. Savage High School and attended Frostburg State University. He worked in the grocery business all of his life, beginning his career at Westins and Acme in Cumberland, MD. He retired in 2019 as store manager at the Bedford Giant Eagle. Roger enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles, gardening, woodworking, watching sci-fi movies, and NFL football. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a wonderful husband, father, step-father, and grandfather who will be missed.
At Roger’s request, there will be no services. Burial private at Woods Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make a donation in Roger’s name to the Wheels Away Program, In One Accord Ministries, 80 State Street, Everett, PA 15537, or the American Heart Association, P.O.
