Helen Elizabeth Fox, age 87, of Massillon, died early Saturday morning, September 6, 2025, surrounded by her family at Danbury Senior Living of Massillon.
She was born on February 12, 1938 in Akron, Ohio to the late Paul Bonin & Helen (Llengyl) Bonin Pfeiffer. She met the love of her life and soulmate, Philip J. Fox at The Waterloo Restaurant in Akron in their teenage years, married Phil on July 22, 1960 and celebrated 52 wonderful years together. Helen enjoyed her family so much that she was always there cheering them on with any of their school functions, sports, choir programs, etc. She was a member of St Barbara’s Catholic Church, lifetime member of The Elms Country Club Women’s Golf League and had a passion for golf, enjoyed tennis, bowling, playing in numerous card clubs and especially with family and friends. Phil & Helen did a lot of traveling, enjoying each and every adventure whether it was with family or all of their groups of friends.
Helen will be remembered as a loving Wife, Mother, “Gramma”, Great-“Gramma”, Sister, Aunt and a forever friend, who will be missed dearly by all, but never forgotten. She is survived by her children - Jeff (Susie) Fox, Teresa (Bob) Lowers and Paul Fox. Grandchildren - Tiffany (Josh) Brazen, Bridget & Samantha Fox and Ryan (Jessica) Lowers, Great Grandchildren -Eliana and Emersyn Brazen, Rhetlee and Lucy Lowers and Brother-In-Law and Sister-In-Law, Tom & Barb Fox and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Philip J. Fox, in addition to her parents, Sister and Brother-In Law, Sue and Bill Henry and numerous in-laws.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday September 13, 2025 at Paquelet Funeral Home, 1100 Wales Road NE, Massillon, OH 44647. Visitation will be on Saturday from 11:00am to 1:00pm with a service immediately after, followed by a burial ceremony at Brookfield cemetery. Donations in Helen’s memory can be made to the Alzheimer's Association 408 9th St. SW, Canton, OH 44708 or a Hospice organization of your choice.
