There are lots of nice things to say about Helen, who married my Cousin Art. I have shared those thoughts with Art, Susan and Debbie but will incorporate a couple of those here. We first met Helen in the early 1960's when Art brought Helen to our house in New York to meet the family! We liked Helen immediately. Also, when we stayed with Helen and Art a few days in 1987, Helen was so kind and gracious. She took us to Melrose Avenue to see the sights and to meet up with Art at UCLA. Her kindness and hospitality meant alot to us and it was nice spending quality time with both of them. Finally, when our daughter was born in 1997, Helen (Art also) sent us the most adorable little dress with fish on it! It was so cute that we have kept it as a keepsake for our daughter. Even though we did not see them all the time, we knew what was happening in their lives. Helen will always be in our hearts.

Helen will always be remembered by me, her husband's first (and second) cousin, as a modest, understated winner in all that she pursued whether it be sports, business or parenting. A person like Helen is a rarity and will be sorely missed by all those fortunate enough to have known her.

Helen—One cheerful and energetic heart who lived life to the max! I have fond memories of the many ocean and pool swimming events that we enjoyed together. However, it was our trip to Napili
Bay that will endure. Her spirit goes on.

I had the joy of meeting her once but her spirit was so alive it was impossible not to be a bit in awe of her. Her goodwill will be with us always. Bonnie Knickerbocker

Helen was a dear and sweet woman with a strong value of family. I knew her mostly professionally and came to admire how strength as an athlete and a competitor of huge proportions compared, especially when compared to the rest of us we were mere pikers athletically. She was optimistic, she was straight forward and she was authentic. I enjoyed the times we worked together over the many years we had been around each other and I surely miss the interaction I grew accustomed to admiring from up close and at a distant as he competed. I am pretty sure she has the ancients running laps and swimming miles in waters we would be far to hesitant to explore. May God Bless you and the wonderful family you have left in your legacy.

Helen was always able to tell the truth even when it was not flattering.
That is a quality few of us, including myself, possess.
She handled her Alzheimer's well, with a quiet smile upon her face.
Rest in peace dear Helen

A very beautiful Obituary, she was like a sister to me when I lived in Columbus. Bob was my best friend and Helen was always with us. I am 86 and lost touch the last few years. I was shocked to hear she had passed. One Of her favorite sayings was ( read about it in the paper every day) Robert T Krebs
