Helen F. Gugler, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on March 1, 2025, in Manorville, New York, at the age of 91. Born on December 25, 1933, in Brooklyn, Helen led a life filled with love, dedication to her family and loved ones.
She is survived by her 4 devoted daughters, Deborah Keegan, Diane D’Aniello, Donna (Fred) Schoenfeld and Patricia (Craig) Lennon, who will carry on her legacy of compassion and strength. Helen was also a proud grandmother to nine grandchildren and a great-grandmother to twelve great-grandchildren, all of whom cherished her deeply. Helen has been reunited in death with her beloved husband Robert Gugler.
Helen’s career as a receptionist at St. Joseph's College in Patchogue, New York, was marked by her warm spirit and unwavering commitment to helping those around her. She touched the lives of many through her kindness and grace, leaving a lasting impression on her colleagues and students.
Her family invites friends and loved ones to pay their respects during visitation at Tuthill-Mangano Funeral Home, located at 406 E Main St, Riverhead, NY 11901, on March 4, 2025. The visitation will be held from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and again from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A Prayer Service will take place at the same location starting at 8:00 PM, concluding at 8:30 PM. On the following day, March 5, 2025, family and friends will proceed to Calverton National Cemetery, where Helen will be laid to rest.
Helen’s spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those she loved and who loved her in return. She will be dearly missed yet fondly remembered for the joy and warmth she brought into the world.
