Helen peacefully passed away at 7:39am on August 25th, 2025, at the Hospice facility within Magnolia Square Nursing Home in Springfield, Missouri. Helen reached the golden age of 104.

Helen was born on June 17th, 1921, in Paragould, Arkansas and raised by her parents Alice and Ray Diggs. She attended Hoxie Grammar and High School where she met her husband to be, Homer Gullett (who passed away in 1981).

Helen and Homer raised 3 children and is survived by Donna Lackershire, Curt Gullett and Robert Gullett. Helen has 4 grandchildren, Donna and Mike Lackershire's daughter, Jenny along with Robert and Pat's daughters, Jaime, Lindsey and Lisa. Helen has 2 great-granddaughters with Lisa and Robert Silva's two girls, Nora and Isla. Helen is also survived by Curt's wife, Janet and their son, Brandon Cramer and his wife, Nicole and their four daughters, Evelyn, Julianna, Audrey and Brielle.

Earlier in Helen's life she enjoyed being a homemaker and worked at Famous Barr in St. Louis, Hartzfeld Jewelers in Kansas City and Dillard's in Springfield. Interestingly, Helen didn't learn to drive a car until later, when she was 59 years old, and all the neighbors kept their distance when she was behind the wheel. Helen enjoyed socializing with her friends and family, traveling to Hoxie for gatherings, family reunions and vacations. She also liked playing cards, games and reading - she always kept busy.

Visitation service will be 6-7pm on Friday, August 29th at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home at 1947 East Seminole, Springfield, Missouri. Funeral Service will be held at 1:30pm on Saturday, August 30th, also at funeral home in Springfield, Missouri.
