Helen Ruth Hegna, age 76, of Beavercreek, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2026.
Helen was born in St. Louis, Missouri on August 18, 1949 to the late Wilmer and Ruth Henson.Helen was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by loving husband, Harwood Hegna; sons, Robert (Elizabeth) Hegna and Jonathan Hegna; daughter, Julianne (Ethan) Weber; grandchildren, Wesley, Eleanor, Kody, Gwendolyn and Conrad; as well as her siblings, James Henson, Patricia Henson and David Henson.
Helen retired after a long career of nursing and teaching. She was a member of the Beavercreek Baptist Church for many years and her faith was very important to her.
In her free time, Helen enjoyed gardening, traveling and spending time with her family. One of her greatest passions was visiting the beach. Helen was loving and kind, she invested her time and effort into the needs of her many patients and family. She was also exceptionally energetic, being constantly on the move from one activity to the next. She loved to explore new places and have new experiences.
Visitation will be held from 1:30pm-2:30pm on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at Beavercreek Baptist Church (3511 Dayton Xenia Rd, Beavercreek), with a Celebration of Life being held at 2:30pm.
