Helen Lauzier Obituary

Helen T. Lauzier
Helen T. (Howe) Lauzier, 87, of South Windsor, loving wife of 35 years to the late Edward R. Lauzier, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, April 19, 2024. She was born on April 15, 1937, in Hartford, one of six children to Patrick and Mary (Moore) Howe.
Helen was born, raised and completed her schooling in Hartford. Following high school, she was employed for many years as an assembly supervisor for the former Dynamic Control Corp., now UTC, in South Windsor. There, she built many lasting friendships and enjoyed the people she worked with very much. She was quite the bowler, bowling at South Windsor Ten Pin for many years in the Dynamic Control League with her colleagues. She loved spending time outdoors in her yard, completing puzzles and playing cards, especially set back, with her family and friends. She was an avid UConn Women's basketball fan and enjoyed watching her favorite baseball team, the Boston Red Sox. Most of all, she looked forward to spending time with her family and her beloved grandchildren. She touched so many of their lives offering words of wisdom as well as supporting their endeavors. Although our time with Helen has ended, her smile and personality will be missed by all those who knew her.
Helen is survived by her five children, Edward Lauzier, Jr., and his wife Marina of Lexington, MA, Debbie Lanning and her boyfriend Kelly Adams of Broad Brook, Raymond Lauzier and his wife June of Attleboro, MA, Monica Silver and her husband Robert of Mays Landing, NJ, and Stephen Lauzier and his wife Jennifer of Attleboro, MA; her ten grandchildren, Sean Lanning, Hillary Lanning, Kristie Lanning, Jeff Silver and his wife Lori-Beth, Derek Silver and his wife Elia, Abby Silver and her boyfriend Bernard, Ashley Lauzier, Gabrielle Lauzier, Linda Lauzier, and Andre Lauzier; one great-grandchild, Julian; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her five siblings, Johnny Howe, Raymond Howe, Thomas Howe, Mary Terry and Eileen Howe.
A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, April 29, 2024, from 11-12 p.m. at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Rd., South Windsor, with a prayer service to begin at 12 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Wapping Cemetery, South Windsor. To leave an online message of condolence for her family, please visit www.carmonfuneralhome.com.
