Helen Magliocco

Helen (Elena) Messina-Magliocco, 100, passed away peacefully after a short illness, Sunday, February 23rd, 2025, in Jacksonville, FL. She was born in New Jersey to Italian immigrants, Nicolo and Serafina Messina frorn Alcamo, Sicily. Helen was a High School graduate.
Helen was skilled at making beaded crochet garments and lived most of her life on Staten Island, New York. She did a lot of her work from home while raising her four children. She also worked for New York State doing clerical work in Brooklyn, New York. She was a devoted housewife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed watching and attending numerous sporting events for professional teams, especially the Yankees, and for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Helen was pre-deceased by her husband, Joseph Magliocco. She is survived by 4 children, Emilia Sasso, Jo Ann Largen, Joseph Magliocco end Lucille Magliocco. She will also be greatly missed by grandchildren, Michael, David, Diana, Hope, Joseph, Ally and Jessie, as well as great grandchildren, Kayli, Aidan, Zachary, Anthony and Christopher. In addition, she had many beloved nieces, nephews and in-laws.
Funeral arrangements are being determined. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Arlington Eye Clinic, Inc., orto the charity of your choice.
