Concetta "Connie" Magliocco, a beacon of love and faith, left us on December 5, 2025, at the age of 100, in
Folsom, PA, her heart as full as the life she so gracefully lived. Born in
Philadelphia, PA, on November 6, 1925, to the late Vincent and Philomena (Petrarca) Saraceni, Connie was a testament to the enduring power of love and the strength of family ties. Preceded in death by her husband, Angelo Magliocco, her sister, Palma DiBeradino and brother, Anthony (Mary) Saraceni, her best friend and sister in law, Lena (Jean) Masina.
Connie's journey through life was marked by her unwavering kindness and her deep Catholic faith. A proud graduate of John W. Hallahan Catholic Girls High School, Class of 1942, she carried with her the values of diligence and dedication that would define her both personally and professionally. She was a bookkeeper for Gimbel's Department Store, reflecting her meticulous nature and her commitment to excellence. Yet, it was her role as a homemaker that truly showcased the depth of her caring heart, as she skillfully wove the fabric of a warm and nurturing home.
Her love story with her late husband, Angelo Magliocco, was one for the ages, a partnership rooted in mutual respect and affection. Together, they celebrated the joys of life and weathered its storms, their bond only strengthening with time. Connie's devotion to family extended to her daughters, Angela Magliocco and Lori (Philip) Carrozza, and was further multiplied in her adoration for her grandsons, Philip (Melanie) Carrozza and Angelo (Shannon) Carrozza. Her legacy blossomed through her great-grandsons, James, Nicolas, Anthony, Chase, and Jaxon, each a reflection of her boundless love, as well as many nieces and nephews and their families.
Connie's interests were as diverse as they were passionate. The kitchen was her sanctuary, where she conjured up feasts that delighted the senses and comforted the soul. Her sewing needle danced through fabric, creating tangible memories and wrapping her loved ones in the warmth of her care. A voracious reader, she traveled through pages, her mind always hungry for knowledge and her spirit ever curious. Connie's prayers were her conversations with God, intimate and honest, a testament to her faith-filled life. And, oh, how she cherished the Philadelphia Phillies, her enthusiasm for the game as infectious as her radiant smile.
To know Connie was to know kindness personified. She was the embodiment of a faith-filled life, her every action a whisper of her love for God and her fellow beings. In her presence, one felt an inexplicable warmth, a gentle nudge to be better, to love more fiercely, and to embrace life's blessings with both hands.
As we bid farewell to Concetta "Connie" Magliocco, we celebrate a life that was a living sermon of love. She taught us that to be kind is to be strong, that to love is to live fully, and that faith can move mountains. Her memory will continue to inspire us, to lift us, and to remind us of the beauty of a life well-lived. Connie's journey on earth may have come to a close, but her spirit soars high, guiding us like a lighthouse, her legacy a map to our better selves. Let us honor her by living with the same passion and purpose that she did, with our hearts open and our spirits willing.
