Helen A. McDevitt

Helen A. McDevitt, of Mount Laurel, formerly of Cape May, passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at the age of 92.
Helen was born on December 12, 1929 to the late Helen and Harry Thurston. She was born and raised in Laurelton, NY and later resided in Philadelphia and Cape May. She was strong in her Catholic faith and devoted her life to her family. Helen loved to dance and was known to be quite social, always making friends wherever she went. When she was living in Cape May, she was heavily involved in the Gardening Club and was a tour guide for the Victorian homes. Helen will be missed deeply by her friends and family.
Helen is predeceased by her husband, John B. McDevitt, her brothers and sisters, and her granddaughters, Holly Morris and Erin McDevitt. She is survived by her children, John K. McDevitt and his wife Debbie, Robert McDevitt, and Barbara George and her husband Thomas; her grandchildren, Lisa Foxhill, Keri McDevitt, Ryan McDevitt, Jaclyn Taglialetela and Alexandra Kirkpatrick; 7 great-grandchildren (and one on the way!); nieces, nephews and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 from 9:30AM to 10:30AM at the Mount Laurel Home for Funerals, 212 Ark Road, Mount Laurel, NJ 08054. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11AM at Saint John Neumann Church, 560 Walton Avenue, Mount Laurel, NJ 08054. Inurnment will follow at Park View Cemetery, Medford, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Helen's memory to the Burlington County Animal Shelter, 35 Academy Drive, Westampton, NJ 08060.
