Jung Choe Obituary
Born in Seoul, Korea to the late Byung and Bok Choi, Dr. Choe earned her medical degree from Ewha Women's University College of Medicine in 1971 and began her medical career in Korea. In the 1970's, she moved to the United States to continue her education and obtain her medical licensure, demonstrating the determination and resilience that would define her life and career.
Dr. Choe completed her residency training at the University of Connecticut and went on to complete a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago. Board certified in Reproductive Endocrinology and Obstetrics & Gynecology, she devoted decades to helping individuals and couples achieve their dreams of parenthood.
Her career took her to Syracuse and Boston before she ultimately practiced for many years in Mount Laurel, New Jersey. While at Cooper Institute, she worked closely with Dr. Check and contributed to hundreds of published scientific papers, advancing the field of reproductive medicine and helping shape modern fertility treatment. She was deeply respected by colleagues and profoundly cherished by the many patients whose lives she touched.
Dr. Choe was the beloved wife of 33 years to the late Dr. Woo Ahn. She was a loving sister to Kwan Kyu Choi, Dal Kyu Choi, Duk Kyu Choi, Wan Kyu Choi and Kin So Choi. She is predeceased by two siblings and is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews who will forever treasure her warmth, wisdom, and generous spirit.
Family and Friends are invited to attend Dr. Choe's, visitation on Saturday, February 7, 2026, 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM at The Catholic Church of St. Mary, 2001 Springdale Road, Cherry Hill, NJ 08003 where the Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12:00 PM.
Dr. Choe's legacy lives on in the families she helped create and the countless lives she impacted through he compassion, intellect, and lifelong dedication to medicine.

My husband and I will be forever grateful to Dr. Choe who was able to get us pregnant after 15 yrs of infertility with our beautiful twin daughters now 23!
