Helen B. Middleton was born on September 1, 1940, in Pineville, SC, to the late Dinah Region and Lawrence Brown. She was called from her labor to rest on Friday, August 8, 2025.
Helen was an active and dedicated member of the local Masonic family (PHA). She was Past Commandress of Azure Court #14 Daughters of Isis, Past Loyal Lady Ruler of Abor Vite Assembly #16 Order of the Golden Circle, a past member of Rahab Court #15 Heroines of Jericho, and Past Worthy Matron of Ivy Leaf Chapter #18 Order of the Eastern Star, PHA.
She was a faithful member of Atlantic City's Saint James AME Church for many years.
Helen is survived by: her children, Deborah Alexander, Daniel Middleton (Faith) and Robert Middleton (Christa); twelve grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; sisters, Josephine Grant, Doris Brown and Rosa Lee; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Saint James AME Church, New York and Arctic Avenues, Atlantic City, where friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Interment to follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Pleasantville.
