Helen "Kupiec" Scanlan

Helen Kupiec Scanlan, 101, passed from this life peacefully on Tuesday, March 10, 2025. Helen was born May 2, 1924 in Archbald, Pennsylvania to the late Walter and Josephine Kupiec. She worked for General Motors in Harrison, New Jersey and Kleins Department Store in Woodbridge, New Jersey. She lived in Belleville and Iselin before moving to Toms River where she resided for more than 40 years. She was a Communicant of St. Maximillian Kolbe RC Church, Berkeley Township. She will be greatly missed.

Helen is predeceased by her parents, Walter Kupiec; Josephine Skalski Kupiec; son, Michael Scanlan; husband, Leo Scanlan.

Helen is survived by her niece, Susan Menture and husband, Michael; great niece Laura Menture; great nephew Michael Menture both of West Orange, New Jersey; nieces Carol Kupiec and Eileen Kupiec of Scotia, New York.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00am, Monday, March 16, 2026 at St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church with Burial to follow at William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Wrightstown, New Jersey.
