Helen Snyder Obituary
Helen E. (Bollinger) Snyder, 89, of Wintergreen Road, Palmerton, Lower Towamensing Township, died peacefully late Monday evening, Oct. 21, 2024, in her home.
Helen was employed by the former Majestic Garment Co., Palmerton, as a seamstress and button holer.
Born in Lower Towamensing Township, she was a daughter of the late John A. and Irene M. (Eckhart) Bollinger.
She was a member of Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church, Trachsville.
A longtime member of the I.L.G.W.U., she enjoyed crocheting, knotted quilting and making people laugh.
Helen was a life member of the Raccoon Club, Seemsville.
Surviving are sons, Ray Snyder of Forest Inn, Randy Snyder, and his wife, Kim, of Egypt, and Dean Snyder, with whom she resided; seven grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; a sister, Doris of Palmerton; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by sisters, Violet Eck, Eva Larsen and Evelyn Nonnemacher; and brothers, Herman, Walter, Clark, Earl, Alvin, Neal, Martin and Morris.
Service: Funeral service at convenience of family. Arrangements by Campton Funeral Home, Palmerton. Contributions in her name may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, VAROIC, P.O. Helen was such a sweetheart. Worked with her at Majestic and years later became one of her caregivers. We sat and shared our crochet projects we both were doing and just enjoyed talking . What a beautiful lady. It was a joy and honor to know Helen. Sending prayers of comfort to her family. God bless
