Helen Sorokach Obituary
Helen Sorokach, 86, of Black Heath, Cass Township, passed away unexpectedly Saturday at her home.
Born in Heckscherville, she was a daughter of the late George and Helen Babinetz Vuksta. She attended Cass Township schools and worked in the local garment industry.
Preceding her in death was her husband of 50 years, George Sorokach, in 2010; her daughter, Lisa Sorokach, in 2021; five siblings, Steve Vuksta, John Vuksta, George Vuksta, Charles Vuksta and Mary Sorokach.
Helen is survived by her son, Joseph G. Sorokach, Minersville. She is also survived by two remaining siblings, Anna Vacula, Schuylkill Haven, and Elizabeth Horoschak, Saint Clair; nieces and nephews.
The family will accept visitors at Dutcavich Funeral Home, Minersville, on Thursday from 6 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. with Rev. Jeff Zias officiating. Contributions can be made to St. Michael Orthodox Church Building Fund. Interment will be in St. Michael Parish Cemetery, St. Clair.
