Helen Stauder

Helen (Priputen) Stauder, 89 of South Cairo, NY passed away peacefully on December 28, 2024 with her loving family at her side.
She was born on July 20th, 1935 on her family's farm in South Cairo, NY. Daughter of the late Andrew and Anna (Bobbie) Priputen. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Frank (Butch) Stauder who passed away in 2005 and her brother Peter Priputen in 2006.
Helen was a loving wife and mother. She worked for the Cairo Bank for a number of years. She was past president of the Cairo Hose Co. Ladies Auxiliary. Helen enjoyed her flower gardens sprinkled with rocks collected from the Catskill Creek. She was meticulous about her gardens, even offering advice to the Firemen's Home in Hudson, NY. Helen was also a very talented crafter, making knitted hats, gloves, and blankets and donating to various organizations around the community through the Cairo Crafters.
She is survived by her two sons Frank and Kim Stauder, Rudy and Karen Stauder. Grandchildren Andrew Stauder (Lisa), Jesse Stauder (Brianna), Rudi Stauder (Mackenzie), and Riley Stauder. Great Grandchildren Maximus (Max), Mila, Hannah, Rhyne, and Allie. Nephews & Nieces Steven, Nancy, and Beth.
Special thanks to Albany Medical Center ICU doctors and nurses for their compassionate care and to the Firemen's Home in Hudson, NY for watching over Mom.
Interment is TBD and will take place at the family plot in Round Top, NY.
