Helen M. Vallonchini

Helen M. Vallonchini of Glen Rock, NJ passed away at home on January 22. Helen was born in Weehawken, NJ and graduated from Weehawken High School and Jersey City State College. She earned her teaching degree and taught in North Bergen public schools.
Her life was filled with much joy from her family, and her love of dogs. She was never without her faithful companions. Hannah was with her every last last day of her life, providing lots of kisses and love.
Baking for her family gave Helen such happiness. She would package pound cake for each grandchild throughout the years and deliver it to them at college. She loved being surrounded by her family and precious dogs, and that is where she spent the last weeks of her life at home. We will miss her every day and will always remember her. We are thankful she is at peace.
Helen is pre-deceased by her husband Nino Vallonchini. She is survived by her daughters Geri Maselli and Andrea DaSilva, son-in-law Mark Maselli, and grandchildren Christina, Jacqueline and Matthew Maselli, and Gianni, Luke and Alexander DaSilva.
Visiting will be on Thursday, Jan. 26,2023 from 4:00 – 8:00pm at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home 257 Godwin Ave, Wyckoff, NJ. A funeral mass will take place at St. Elizabeth's Church in Wyckoff, NJ on Friday at 10:00am. Entombment George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ.
