Mrs. Helen LeCroy Varner

Mrs. Helen LeCroy Varner, 84, of Carnesville, GA passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at her home.

Mrs. Varner was born in Carnesville, GA on January 5, 1942, daughter of the late Loyd LeCroy and the late Ella Ginn LeCroy. She was a Franklin County 4-H program assistant and banker. Mrs. Varner was also a member of Bold Springs Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, James A. "Fox" LeCroy and Harold E. "Chunk" LeCroy; and sister, Mildred LeCroy Davis.

Survivors include her husband, John T. Varner, Jr.; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Anthony Godfrey of Alpharetta, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Welsey and Jennifer Varner of Carnesville, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Joe Dan and Linda LeCroy of Lavonia, GA; grandchildren, Lindsey and Bryan Herrick, Ansley and James Davis, Kody and Sidney Varner, Anna and Nik Mannik and Ellie Varner; two great-grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Varner will be held in the Bold Springs Methodist Church at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 22, 2026, with Rev. Jeff Pearce officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Bold Springs Methodist Church from 1:30 p.m. until funeral hour on Sunday afternoon. During other times, the family will be at the home.
