Helen S. Wegrzyn nee Zagorski. Age 89. Longtime Chicago Heights resident. Attended Loretto High School in Chicago, then St Patrick High School and Graduated from Franklin High School in Franklin, PA. Received her Registered Nursing Degree from Spencer Hospital School of Nursing in Meadville, Pennsylvania. Retired Neo Natal RN after 35 years of service from St James Hospital in Chicago Heights. Longtime parishioner of the former St Anne Church in Chicago Heights and St Mary Parish in Park Forest. Wife of 40 years of the late James Wegrzyn. Mother of Ken (Kathy) Wegrzyn, Bob (Mary Ann) Wegrzyn, Luanne (Christopher) Watson, Karen (Naoan Masek) Wegrzyn and the late Michael Wegrzyn and Mary Jucius. Grandmother of 10, Great grandmother of 9. Daughter of the late Helen nee Pollack and Stanley Zagorski. Sister of Irene (late Tom) Montella and Steve (Mary Lou) Zagorski. Sister-in-law of Donald Wegrzyn and Mary Louise (late Frank) Angone. Aunt of many nieces and nephews. Resting at Panozzo Bros. Funeral Home, 530 West 14th Street (US Rt 30, 3 blks E of Western Ave), Chicago Heights on Friday September 26, 2025 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Family and friends will meet at St Liborius Church, 71 West 25th Street, Steger on Saturday September 27, 2025 for Funeral Mass 10:30 am. Interment Assumption Cemetery, Glenwood. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Helen's name to Mount Saint Francis, 101 St Anthony Drive, Mt.
