Taylor Funeral Home of Gibson announces the death and services of Mrs. Helen Irene Williford, age 89, of GA Highway 102 West in Gibson who died Thursday afternoon January 15, 2026, at her home.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM on Sunday afternoon, January 18, 2026, in the Gibson Church of God with Rev. Stacy Williford, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Troy Williford, Andrew Williford, Coty Faglier, Maddox Faglier, Glavin Faglier, and Hudsen Faglier. The family will receive friends one hour before services at the church on Sunday.
Mrs. Williford was born March 7, 1936, in Louisville, one of twelve children of the late Pink Clayborn Holbrook and Ollie Mae Cooper Holbrook. She was a member of Gibson Church of God and had worked as a seamstress with Royal Manufacturing and Carters Manufacturing in Sandersville.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 65 years Terrell Williford, a son, Allen Williford; brother, Eugene Holbrook; sisters, Martha (Mot) H. Lamb, Lois H. Thigpen, Ann H. Salter, and Florence Irby; and is survived by a son, Troy Williford (Jennifer) of Tennille; a daughter, Connie Deane of Gibson; grandchildren, Ashley Deane, Andrew Williford (Katie), Maegan Faglier (Coty), Abby Weber, Jeremiah Weber, and Jackson Weber; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Dot Kirby, Christine Cash and Wilma Tawney; brothers, Roy Holbrook, P.C. Holbrook, and Charles Holbrook; several nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.
