Helen M Wuebbles, age 87 of Alhambra, IL, died Monday, November 10, 2025, at HSHS Saint Elizabeth Hospital in O'Fallon, IL.
She was born on Friday, November 19, 1937, in Caseyville, IL, the daughter of Steve and Frances (nee Kisela) Pejakovic.
On Saturday, November 8, 1958, she married Nelson Lee Wuebbles at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Marine, Illinois, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Wuebbles was born in Caseyville, Illinois. She graduated from Highland High School in 1956. Following her marriage, she and her husband lived in Grantfork, Illinois. After his death, she became a caregiver and followed that occupation for 22 years. She moved to Hitz Home in 2019. She was a member of St. Gertrude Catholic Church. Helen enjoyed gardening, cooking, canning, and raising flowers and plants. For many years she did babysitting in Grantfork.

Niece - Margaret A. Pejakovic, Alhambra, IL
Niece - Linda R. Meyer, Edwardsville, IL
Nephew - Andrew S. Meyer, Highland, IL
She was preceded in death by:
Husband - Nelson Lee Wuebbles
Father - Steve Pejakovic
Mother - Frances Pejakovic, nee Kisela
Daughter - Diana J. Bolton
Brother - Joseph S. Pejakovic
Sister - Mary Pejakovic
Sister - Elsie Meyer
Nephew - Gary L. Pejakovic
Arrangements are being handled by Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at St. Gertrude Catholic Church in Grantfork, IL.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at St. Gertrude Catholic Church in Grantfork, IL, with Fr. Callistus Osiaga, officiating.
Interment will be at St. Gertrude Catholic Cemetery in Grantfork, IL.
Memorial contributions may be made to Grantfork Fire Department, Hitz Home or St. Gertrude Catholic Church.
