Helen Yerigan

Funeral services for Helen Yerigan of Morris, MN will be held Thursday, June 6, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at First Lutheran Church in Morris, with Reverend Rich Fitzer officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday. Burial will be at a later date at Summit Cemetery in Morris.

Helen Vernell Steen, daughter of Elmer and Oline (Stenstuen) Steen, was born April 13, 1933 in Swift County, Minnesota, where she grew up with her 11 siblings, and began her schooling. She later attended and graduated from Morris High School. On July 9, 1955, she was united in marriage to Charles Herman Yerigan at First Lutheran Church in Morris. The couple made their home in Morris, where they raised their three children and Helen worked as a secretary at the Morris Area Schools for many years. 

Helen was a member of First Lutheran Church in Morris. She was a fabulous artist, who loved to paint. She also loved spending time with family and friends.

Helen died on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at West Wind Village in Morris. She was 91 years old.

She is survived by her husband: Charles Yerigan of Morris; her children: Scott (Julie) Yerigan of Texas and Jayne Seaborn of Fargo, ND; one grandson and four siblings: Alice, Margaret, Elaine and Roger. She was preceded in death by her son: Rick Yerigan; her parents and seven siblings: Eunice, Norman, Kenneth, Elton, Evelyn, Gordon, and David.
