Memorial services for Larry Dean Osterman of Cyrus, MN will be held Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Cyrus, MN, at 11:00 a.m., with Reverend's Christopher Richards and Julius Miller officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 24, 2026, from 4 to 7 p.m. with a prayer service concluding the visitation at the Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris and also for one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday. Burial will be in Cyrus South Cemetery, in Cyrus.
Larry Dean Osterman, died Thursday, March 19, 2026, at Minnewaska Lutheran Home in Starbuck, MN. He was 81 years old.
He was born on May 13, 1944, in Britton, South Dakota, a son of Hans and Mathilda (Bahr) Osterman. He grew up in Sisseton, SD where he graduated from Sisseton High School before settling down in the Cyrus, MN area. He served his country for seven years in the National Guard. On June 21, 1968, he married Rose Marie Ronnie at Glenwood Lutheran Church in Glenwood. He worked as a farmer, truck driver and parts manager for the majority of his life. He enjoyed playing cards, watching ball games, farming and always had a positive attitude - above all, he was devoted to his family whom he loved very much. He was a long-time member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Cyrus.
He is survived by his wife, Rose; son, Timothy (Rhonda) Osterman, and their children, Phillip and Victoria Osterman, son, Daniel Osterman (Theresa Norman), and their children, William Osterman (Lacie Olson), Warren Osterman, daughter, Carrie (Sean) McMahon, and their children, Kayla and Paytin McMahon; siblings, Angela (Jack) Brooks, Darwin Osterman, as well as several nieces, nephews, and other extended relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Hans and Mathilda; infant son; siblings, Gary, Roger and Gerald Osterman, and daughter-in-law, Billie-Marie Osterman.
The Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris is in care of the arrangements for Larry.
