Helena Maxwell

Helena Maxwell, Age 81, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully at her home on January 18, 2025. Raised in the Browntown, Wilmington, DE, Helena resided for the past 52 years in North Wilmington, previously living in Edgemoor, DE. A dedicated homemaker, Helena found joy in gardening, especially tending to her cherished tomato plants. She treasured summer trips to the Delaware beaches and valued time spent with her family, grandchildren, and sisters, as well as the company of her many friends.
Helena was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Agnes Ksiazek Truszkowski; her husband, William R. Maxwell, who passed in 2023; and two siblings, Elizabeth Leonard and Stanley Truszkowski.
She is survived by her two sons, Kevin Maxwell (Tiia) and Jason Maxwell (Jennifer); five beloved grandchildren, Taylor, Austin, Courtney, Caleb, and Dallas; and three sisters, Dottie DiDonato, Maggie Greylock, and Agnes Rhodes. Helena shared a close bond with her nieces, nephews, and grandchildren, especially Davie Handlin.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025, from 1:00-2:00 PM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA, followed by funeral services at 2:00 PM. Interment will remain private.
