Bolowsky - Helmuth, of Glen Cove, NY, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2025, at the age of 87. Helmuth, or Opa as most people knew him, is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Adeline; his sons, Robert (Nina) of Floral Park, NY, Kevin (Diane) of Okatie, SC; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and two brothers, Ernst and Heinz, both living in Germany. Helmuth came to the United States at the age of 18 and built a beautiful family and life as he persued his American dream. Through their family business, Manor Delicatessen in Woodhaven, Queens, he touched the lives of so many. A Wake will be held for Helmuth at Park Funeral Chapel in Garden City Park on Thursday, April 24. Visitation will be from 4-8pm. Condolences may be sent to parkfuneralchapels.com.

I worked for Helmuth at Manor Delicatessen in the late 70's when I was a high school student. I learned values such as hard work from him that have sustained me through adulthood. Working for (and with) him was like being part of the family, and he treated me as if I was one of his sons. I'm truly saddened to learn of his passing.
