Henri Edward Rossignol

Henri Edward Rossignol, of Enfield, CT entered into eternal rest peacefully on Saturday, October 25, 2025 surrounded by his loving family.
Born on May 4, 1932 in Madawaska, ME, Henri was the son of the late Albert and Caroline (Albert) Rossignol. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Ann (Conway) Rossignol, with whom he shared 52 years of marriage. Together they built a life centered on love, family, and community. He had resided in Enfield for the past 66 years. Henri proudly served his country as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army from 1949 to 1953 during the Korean War, After, his military service he worked at Pratt & Whitney and later became the owner of G & R Machine and Tool Co. His skill, dedication, and inventive spirit earned him deep respect among his peers. In later years, he continued to share his talents working for Pecoy Companies.
A true craftsman and lifelong learner, Henri being a jack of all trades could fix or build nearly anything from scratch. From constructing an electric car to his work as a machinist. He embodied the spirit of ingenuity. His hobbies were being an avid collector, an aviation enthusiast, as well as hunting and fishing. Known for his remarkable storytelling, Henri's presence filled every room with warmth, humor, and wisdom. He was a Fourth Degree, member of the Knights of Columbus and a proud leader with the Boy Scouts of America. His legacy of service and mentorship lives through the countless lives he touched.
Above all Henri was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who cherished every moment spent with family, His greatest joy being surrounded by those he loved. Henri is survived by his children: Edward and Linda Rossignol of Enfield; Frank and Christine Rossignol of New Canada, ME; Michael and Susan Rossignol of Ocala, FL: Kathleen and William Schmidt of Tolland; Annemarie Nolan and Robert Gillespie of Enfield; and Susan Rossignol and Diana King of Asheville NC: fourteen grandchildren and twenty-five great-grandchildren; a brother Roger Rossignol and a sister-in-law Peggy Zimmerer; many nieces and nephews; as well as close friends Nadine Godsoe and Valerie Thomas. He was predeceased by his, grandson Joshua. Henri's family takes comfort knowing he is reunited with his beloved wife, Ann and that his spirit lives on in the cherished memories, stories, laughter, and the love he left behind. His hands built, his heart gave, and his love remains.
Relatives and friends may gather with his family on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 during calling hours from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Browne Memorial Chapels, Enfield. A funeral home service will take place on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at 10:00 a.m., followed by interment with military honors in St. Patrick's King Street Cemetery, Enfield. In lieu of flowers memorial donation may be made to the
charity of the donor's choice.
