Henry A. Bachorski

We lost a great and caring man among us today. Our dad, Henry, passed away quietly at home Sunday, Jan. 23, 2022, with his family at age 94. He valued family above all else. He always thought of others instead of himself. Henry loved sports and was an avid Steelers, Pirates, Penguins and Pitt fan and loved playing golf, up to age 90. Henry started and managed the first girl's CYO softball and basketball teams for St. John the Baptist Church in Plum. Henry was a longtime employee of the Giant Eagle supermarket chain. Hank proudly served in the Army. Henry was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Betty (Sturchio); his parents, Michael and Bernice (Kubiszewski); sister, Ann (Greengard); and brothers, Edward, Michael, and Chester. Henry was loved by his children, Tom (Joanie, deceased), Linda Carr (Jim), Henry (Denise) and Ron (Lori). He was also loved by his 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He will always be in our hearts. You don't mourn someone loved as much as Henry was. You celebrate. If you are reading this, find your loved ones and celebrate. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at SOXMAN FUNERAL HOMES LTD./ROTH CHAPEL, 7450 Saltsburg Road (at Universal Road), Penn Hills, where a blessing service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday.
