Henry Wayne Bennett, known affectionately as Wayne to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2025, in Simpsonville, South Carolina. Born on January 12, 1948, in Royston, Georgia, Wayne was a man whose life was marked by his loving nature, his handy skills, and his generous spirit.

Wayne was the beloved husband of Donna Bennett, with whom he shared a life full of love and companionship. He was a devoted father to his daughter, Tonya Bennett, and a doting grandfather to Danielle Bennett (Austin) and great-grandfather to Brynlee "LiL Maggie." Wayne's family was the cornerstone of his life, and his love for them was evident in every action and every word.

He is survived by his cherished sisters, Barbara Fowler and Lillian Wilder (Bob), and his nephew, Neal Bennett (Pam). Wayne was predeceased by his mother, Emma Bennett Gibbs, his father, JC Bennett, and his siblings, Billy Bennett, Doug Bennett, and Judy Bennett. He will also be fondly remembered by his brother-in-law, Don Grant (Ellen), sister-in-law, Shirley Denney, and his many nieces, great nieces, and nephews, and great nephews who will miss his presence dearly.

Wayne's professional life was spent as a skilled electrician, a trade that he mastered with precision and pride. His work ethic and dedication to his craft earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues and those in the wider community.

An outdoorsman at heart, Wayne found joy in the simplicity of nature. He was happiest when he was hunting, fishing, or simply taking the boat out on a serene lake. His love for animals was profound, sharing special bonds with his fur baby Max, and grand-fur baby Yota, who have since passed, and grand-fur baby Subie, who brought him joy in his later years.

Wayne's garden was a testament to his patience and nurturing character. He tended to his plants with the same care and attention that he gave to every aspect of his life. His hands, always ready to fix or create, were equally adept at coaxing life from the soil.

Those who knew Wayne will remember him as a man who was always ready to lend a hand or offer support. His generosity knew no bounds, and his legacy will live on in the countless lives he touched. Wayne's memory will be cherished and kept alive through the stories and laughter shared by those who loved him.

As we say goodbye to Henry Wayne Bennett, we celebrate a life well-lived, full of moments that will be treasured forever. His spirit, characterized by love and generosity, will continue to inspire and guide us. Wayne's journey on this earth has ended, but his story will be told for generations to come.
