Henry Cordova Obituary
Henry Albert Cordova, 78, formerly of Liberal, passed away on Saturday November 29, 2025 in Seguin, TX.
He was born on September 14, 1947 to Ignacio and Lucinda (Fuentes) Cordova at Tucumcari, NM.
On September 27, 1965 he married Bertha Ann Llewellyn at the St Anthony's Catholic Church Liberal, KS. Bertha preceded him in death on June 5, 2025.
Henry retired from Anadarko Petroleum. Henry's boundless energy and humor touched many lives. His wisdom and resilience will be carried on by those who knew him. He had a great sense of humor and was able to keep it to the very end. He was known for his kindness, strength, and his passion for golfing and working with his hands. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great=grandfather. He had joy for life and for the simple moments. You will always be our guide, and remain in our hearts forever. Gone but never forgotten.
Henry is survived by his son Henry Cordova Jr. and daughter-in-law Patricia; and his grandsons Jordan Cordova, married to Priyanka, and Forrest Cordova, married to Abby. Henry was also a proud great-grandfather to Felicity Cordova, Carmen Cordova, Tatum Cordova, Siddharta (Sid) Cordova and Evelyn Cordova.His legacy is also carried on through his brother, Stanley Cordova of Liberal, KS; and sisters, Theresa Heger of Hugoton, KS, June Christy and husband Daryl of Liberal, KS, and Patricia Bedford of Liberal, KS.
Henry was also preceded in death by his father Ignacio Cordova, his mother Lucinda Cordova, his daughter Tina Cordova, his brothers Geronimo Cordova and Gilbert Cordova.
Viewing will be 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at Miller Mortuary.
A Rosary Service will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, December 4, 2025 followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00 am at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Liberal. Burial will follow at the Liberal City Cemetery.
