Sophia Susan "Sue" Potter, 83, formerly of Tyrone, passed away on Wednesday November 19, 2025 at the Liberal Good Samaritan Society Nursing Home in Liberal, KS.
Sue was born on October 21, 1942 to George Potter and Thelma Morris at Las Vegas, NV.
She had worked many years at Nash Finch, Ideal Foods, and National Carriers in Liberal before retiring. Sue was affectionately known as "Grandma Sue" by the many people she loved. She was an outgoing people-person who rarely met a stranger. Sue also had a love for animals and once made a trip to Australia where she was able to hold a Koala Bear. Her many hobbies included Gardening, Ceramics, Oil Painting, and loving her children & grandchildren. She was a member of Tyrone Baptist Church and attended regularly up to her passing.
She is survived by her Son, Lee Denten and wife Gina of Cortez, CO; Daughter, Nancy Shield and husband Allen of Tyrone, OK; Sister, Thelma Robertson of Las Vegas, NV; Seven Grandchildren, Twelve Great Grandchildren, her loving, special Niece, Patricia along with several other Nieces & Nephews.
She was preceded in death by her Son, Robert Denten; Sister, Betty Jeanne Dickey; Brother, Thomas Cooper.
Per Sue's specific wishes, her body was donated to science; there will be no viewing or services.
Memorials are suggested to the Tyrone Baptist Church or Liberal Good Samaritan Society in care of Miller Mortuary PO Box 826 Liberal, KS 67905-0826
