Henry F. Culberson

Mr. Henry Fred Culberson, Jr., age 92, passed away on March 9, 2025. He will be buried at his wife Ann Hester Culbersons family church. A portion of his ashes will be placed alongside the graves of his parents, Henry Fred and Melba Hardy Culberson, in Gainesville, Ga. A private celebration of life gathering of family and close friends will be held April 5, 2025Mr. Culberson was a graduate of Gainesville High School and the United States Naval Academy where he excelled in both athletics and academics. He served as a proud veteran in the United States Air Force before joining American Airlines flying his beloved airplanes until his retirement in 1983. Prior to retirement he was an active PTO Board member and officer and volunteer at his church as well as Meals on Wheels. After retirement he and his wife, Ann, were sports enthusiasts winning numerous medals at the Senior Olympics.He was a hard working provider and meticulous maintainer of cars, home and yard, taking great pride in each. His loyalty to friends and family was unparalleled offering help whenever or wherever needed. Selfless in each offer and fearless in his efforts to right a wrong. While he wasnt an exceptionally Godly man, he did as God instructs us all - live for others and serve them. Mr. Culberson was preceded by his parents, Henry Fred and Melba Hardy Culberson; granddaughter, Sydney Taylor; and stepdaughter Camille Prestera Woodis. He is survived by three children, Sheri, Scott (Kelly), and Beth (David); five grandchildren, Caroline (Hogan), Megan (Kyle), Matthew, Julia (Jack), and Ellen (Jake); three great-grandchildren, Thomas, Quinn, and Lauren; wife, Ann; two stepchildren Marc and Noelani (Matt); four step-grandchildren Dominic (Kat), Beau (Margaret), Wyatt, and Jordan; and three step great-grandchildren, Gwen, Bishop, and Brooks.
