Henry J. DeVincenzo, 76, of Foxboro, MA passed away suddenly upon arrival to Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, MA on July 22, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Toni Ann (Bonsante) DeVincenzo to whom he was married on July 7, 2009.
Born in Waltham, MA on January 5, 1949, he was a son of the late Salvatore DeVincenzo and the late Maria (Barilone) DeVincenzo.
Henry enlisted in the United States Army in November 1966 during the Vietnam War serving in Vietnam from September 1967 to September 1968 with the company C 1/327 101st ABN division serving in I Corp and also as part of a reaction force during the TET offensive. Upon returning to the states, he served the rest of his time with the 82nd ABN division until his discharge in February of 1969. He was also the recipient of the Bronze Star Medal for his heroic actions while serving.
Mr. DeVincenzo was a longtime member of the Local 223 Union prior to his retirement in 2008.
He also enjoyed busting out in dance moves and singing along to oldies while practicing the different octaves his voice could reach. He had the best humor and down-to-earth personality.
His favorite pastime was times spent creating lifelong memories with his wife, children and grandchildren.
He enjoyed travelling, trips to the casino, playing games on his phone and finishing the "work" on his "honey-do" list.
In addition to his wife, he leaves his cherished children: Jacqueline A. Pullen of Johnston, Rhode Island; Nicholas DeVincenzo of Attleboro, MA; Lisa DeVincenzo of Pawtucket, Rhode Island and Michelle DeVincenzo of Pawtucket, Rhode Island; his beloved grandchildren: Franco Marrafino and Norabelle Faccenda both of Johnston, Rhode Island; his siblings:
Donald DeVincenzo of Springfield, MA; Anthony DeVincenzo of Dedham, MA; Nicholas DeVincenzo of ME; Christina Collins of Cranston, Rhode Island; Lisa Graffeo of Winchester, MA and Edward DeVincenzo of Dedham, MA and numerous nieces and nephews; extended family and many dear friends.
Relatives and Friends are warmly welcome to attend A Celebration of His Life with Visitation on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, from 9:00 am until 11:00 am in the "Memorial Chapel" of Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA followed immediately by a Funeral Service at 11:00 am in the "Memorial Chapel."
Committal services with military honors will follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA at 1:30 pm.
Due to the limitation of flowers at the cemetery, if desired, memorial donations may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
