Mario DeVincenzo, 93, of Roseland, NJ, passed away on October 20, 2025. Born on August 15, 1932, in Orange, NJ, to Dominick and Louise (Luce) DeVincenzo, he lived in West Orange before settling in Roseland in 1969. Mario was a graduate of West Orange High School where he excelled on the football and baseball teams. After service in the United States Army, he became a Tool and Die Maker finishing his career at Kay Elemetrics Corp. Mario loved his time being involved with youth sports as a coach when his children were young. For many years, he was a dedicated football and baseball coach with the Roseland Recreation Department, guiding his players with wisdom, heart and encouragement. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, and playing adult softball with his friends for many years. One of his true joys in life was fishing on Barnegat Bay with his children and cherished grandchildren. Mario was a beloved patriarch who was family-oriented, hard-working and humble. He was the beloved husband of Marie (nee Barca); devoted father of Theresa Garcell and Anthony DeVincenzo and his wife, Marissa; cherished grandfather of Tim DeVincenzo, Olivia Intile (Anthony), Jenna Theimann (Brennan), Mario Garcell and Ava Garcell. He was predeceased by brothers and sisters, Anthony DeVincenzo, Sadie Wagner, Josephine DeVincenzo, Jennie DeVincenzo, Armond DeVincenzo, and Louise Manzella. A Mass will be offered on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church, 28 Livingston Avenue, Roseland.
