Virginia J "Jeannie" Davis

Virginia J. Davis (née Pannucci), of East Hanover, New Jersey, affectionately known as "Jeannie," passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at the age of 83.

Born on August 30, 1942, in Orange, New Jersey, Jeannie was the daughter of Mary (née Cumbo) and Nicholas Pannucci. She was raised in Orange and went on to live in Lake Hopatcong and Parsippany before settling in East Hanover. Jeannie was a proud graduate of West Orange High School.

Jeannie dedicated over 30 years of service to the Township of East Hanover, where she worked in various departments before retiring. She was deeply devoted to her Catholic faith and was an active parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Church in East Hanover, where she participated in many church events and activities.

Jeannie will be remembered for her love of family, her generosity toward others, and her warm, caring spirit. She also found joy in life's simple pleasures, including spending time with loved ones and enjoying getting her nails done.

She is survived by her loving son, Billy Davis; her dear sister, Maryann Muziani, and her husband, Sam; as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was predeceased by her brother, Peter Pannucci.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation on Sunday, March 29, from 2:00 to 6:00 PM at Paul Ippolito Summit Memorial, 7 Summit Avenue, Summit, New Jersey. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, March 30, at 11:45 AM at St. Rose of Lima Church, 312 Ridgedale Avenue, East Hanover, New Jersey. Entombment will follow at Restland Memorial Park in East Hanover.

In keeping with Jeannie's generous spirit, memorial donations may be made in her memory to Boys Town (www.boystown.org), an organization dedicated to supporting children and families in need.
