Henry "Hank" Geroch, 93, of Nanticoke, passed away Monday, August 25, 2025 at his home following an illness.
Born in Nanticoke on February 14, 1932, he was a son of the late Joseph Geroch Sr. and Gertrude Swithers Geroch. He graduated from Nanticoke High School in 1950.
He married Arlene Balla September 5, 1953.
He worked at Blue Ribbon / Interstate Bakery in Kingston before opening Geroch's Hoagies, Nanticoke, where he and his wife Arlene touched the lives of many customers for 40 years.
Henry was a member of St. Faustina Kowalska Parish, Nanticoke and previously St. Francis of Assisi Parish. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and hunting and especially loved spending time with his granddaughter and great-grandsons.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Geroch Jr. and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Surviving are his wife, the former Arlene Balla, with whom he shared nearly 72 years of marriage; his daughter, Karen Windau and her husband, Gregory of Collegeville; granddaughter, Jennifer Cunningham and her husband, Michael; and great grandsons, Michael and Henry Cunningham.
The family wishes to give special thanks to Joseph and Sylvia Brodowicz for all you have done and continue to do to help out Henry and Arlene. The family would also like to extend a special thanks to the nurses who took such good care of him.
Funeral Services will begin 10:30 a.m., Friday, August 29th from Dinelli Family Funeral Home, 170 East Broad St. Nanticoke, with a Mass of Christian Burial beginning 11:00 a.m. at St. Faustina Kowalska Parish, 520 S. Hanover St., Nanticoke.
Visitation will be at the funeral home, Friday from 9:30 a.m. until transferal to the church.
Interment will follow in St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery, Nanticoke.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the Sacred Heart, 100 William St., Dunmore, PA, 18510.
