Henry Hess Obituary
He was born in Eskridge, Kansas on September 28, 1943 to Henry C. and Maybelle Hess.
He attended Pittsburg High School and graduated from Liberal High School in Liberal, Missouri in 1961. He joined the Air Force in 1961. Henry spent 3 years in the 605th Air Commando Squadron Special Forces in Panama. He was stationed at the Korat Royal Thai Air Force Base in 1971. Henry attended Pittsburg State University for 2 years and was a member of the Kansas National Guard. His career was in circuit board electronics and he owned his business, Hess Board Repair until retirement. Henry was active in several clubs and organizations and a member of El Paso County Republican Strategy Forum.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two older brothers, Richard and Wayne Hess.
He is survived by his wife, Mary of Cascade, Colorado; and his children, Gaylan Hess, Lanaee Brooks, and Kyra Tooke of Texas, Tom Hess of South Carolina, and Elizabeth Canright of Colorado Springs, Colorado. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; multiple nieces and nephews; and three sisters, Sharon Joyce Berry of Olathe, Kansas, Darlene Stotler of Pittsburg, Kansas, and Patricia Thomas of Oronogo, Missouri.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Cascade Volunteer Fire Department, 8015 Severy Avenue, Cascade, Colorado 80809.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to both the Cascade and Green Mountain Volunteer Fire Departments as well as to Pikes Peak Hospice.

Henry was amazing! He loved his family and his country. He worked tirelessly to get good people elected in leadership to ensure a future for his grandchildren. When he spoke at meetings and political events, he always gave recognition to his children and grandchildren, stating "I'm doing this because I love my grandkids and want them to grow up in a free country." It was never about him. To Henry's family, thank you for sharing him with us! I miss him very much.

I met Henry through mutual friends and worked with him in the same shop. He was a great friend and mentor! I learned a lot from him and will miss having him "bail me out" repairing crap that I brought home! See you soon enough!
