On January 13, 1963, in Holland, MO, he was united in marriage to Ireta Burton. She preceded in death on April 28, 2003. On October 25, 2013, in St. Francis, AR, he was then united to Loretta McAfee. She survives.
He was a U.S. Navy vetran, serving in Vietnam.
Mr. Jarred died Tuesday, September 30, 2025, in Jonesboro, AR, at the age of 79 years.
Survivors include his wife, Loretta Jarred; 1 daughter, Carla Johnson (Gene); 2 sons, Larry Jarred and Barry Jarred (Leticia); 1 step daughter, Melissa Nixdorf; 4 step sons, Jim Chandler, Toby Chandler, Robert Chandler and John Chandler; 7 sisters, Wanda Man, Judy Williams, Denise Butler, Lisa Jarred, Tammy McCarn, Devona Crockett and Deborah Jones; 3 brothers, Dennis Jarred, Dallas Jarred and John Hensley; 9 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and a host of other friends and relatives.
He was preceded in death by 4 sisters, Joyce Benson, Rebecca Carr, Rhonda Hensley and Karen Hensley; 1 great grandson, Cayson Robertson.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025 from 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Kennett, MO.
