Mr. Henry Lee Marshman, 64, of Rocky Mount, North Carolina transitioned on September 18, 2024.
Henry Lee Marshman was born on January 6,1960, to Ella Mae Marshman and the late John Cotton. He departed this life at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro, North Carolina on Wednesday, September 18, 2024. Henry was preceded in death by his father, John Cotton.
Henry was a city boy although he was raised in the south for six years and later moved to Westbury, New York. Henry graduated in 1978 from Westbury High School in Westbury, New York. He was the life of the party and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Henry started working at the tender age of 14 years old. He held various jobs, but his most recent job was a Detailer at Mack Pontiac Buick GMC in Hicksville, New York until he relocated to Spring Hope, North Carolina in 2008.
Henry was a loving son, father, grandfather and uncle. He leaves to cherish his mother, Ella Mae Marshman who he affectionately called (Mommy) of Spring Hope, North Carolina, one son Travis Marshman (Tanisha), two grandchildren Taviyana and Tristian Marshman all of Copiague, New York ; one brother Vincent Marshman, one nephew Vincent Marshman Jr. both of Westbury, New York, one Aunt Rebecca Lofton, of Elm City, North Carolina, a lifelong friend Brenda McIntosh of Mastic Beach, New York and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
A Visitation will be held for Mr. Marshman on Thursday, September 26, 2024 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at the Rocky Mount chapel of H.D. Pope Funeral Home, 325 Nash Street, Rocky Mount, NC. Funeral services will take place immediately after the visitation at 1:00 pm on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at the Rocky Mount chapel of H.D. Pope Funeral Home. The interment will immediately follow the service at Mark Chapel Church Cemetery.
