Henry Minor Pilkinton

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved son, Henry Minor Pilkinton, born on December 12, 2007. Henry attended Central High School in Columbia, Tennessee. He was a precious gift from God—our son, sibling, nephew, cousin, grandson, and friend—and we take comfort in knowing he is now held in the eternal glory of our Lord. Our lives have been forever changed by his presence, and we hold tightly to the knowledge that we will one day see him again.

 A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 17, at 6:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Jason Beck officiating. The family will visit with friends Monday from 3:00–6:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. 

Henry was the youngest of three wonderful siblings, and he found his greatest joy when surrounded by his family and friends. He will be remembered always for his kindness, compassion, and loving heart. There were so many things he cherished in this life: family game nights, listening to music, playing video games with friends, spending time at school with those he loved, being with his dog Callie, and the peaceful moments he found while fishing.

In his short but impactful life, Henry taught us the importance of embracing each moment and spreading love and joy. His legacy continues in the hearts of those who knew him, encouraging us to live with kindness and a generous spirit. We will carry his memory with us, honoring him by cherishing our loved ones and finding joy in the everyday moments, just as he did. 

Henry is survived by his parents, Michael and Robin Pilkinton; his siblings, William (Maddie) Pilkinton and Grace (Lucas) Dunning; his aunt Tina Johnson (partner Ryan Dangler); cousins Rachel Johnson (fiancée Allyson Arjon) and their son Asher Arjon, and Robert (Mallory) Johnson; grandparents Virginia Gill, John Goodloe, Linda and Roger Hill, and Bill and Diane Pilkinton; great-aunt Linda Pilkinton; and many other treasured family members and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his uncle Shawn Pilkinton, as well as several great-aunts, great-uncles, and great-grandparents.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to WayFM in Henry’s name because he loved music so deeply.   WayFM is a listener-supported, crowd-funded ministry.  We know he is now with our Lord and Savior, and it is our hope that all who are lost or wandering may find peace, comfort, and guidance through the message of Christ.
