Something made me look at the obituaries in the Boston Sunday Globe today. Much to my sadness, I read of my old friend Henry´s death. That picture with the hat was perfect. We were close friends during grade and middle school, seeing each other nearly everyday. I spent many happy hours at, I think 65 Garland St., playing with toy soldiers and football on Perkins Rd. Henry and I did not see as much of each other after the seventh grade, but I did run into him several times over the years, once when he was driving his UPS truck and again at Logan airport when he was on his way to Florida. He was always smiling. At Logan, he told me he had retired. I was on my way to a boring business meeting somewhere and was envious, but happy for him. It just occurred to me his nickname was Zib. I don´t remember how he got it. I am sorry he is gone. Henry will be in my thoughts and prayers as will you, his family. I feel a real sense of loss.

Henry was one of a kind, never without a smile a true friend. We shared many good times when we worked, golfed or just hung out. I was hoping to catch up soon. I'll see you on the other side my friend, rest easy.

I´m going to speak directly to Henry since I am certain that he is in Heaven. God takes the best of us first.
Henry, You are the salt of the earth! We had some great times back in the day. You always had a smile on your face. You are a gentle soul. You were always chill. Those days were some of the best of my life thus far.
May God bless you and keep you in the palm of his hand!
Take care my friend!

Missed him. A great bowler and adventurer. He never missed a good time, making it greater as he went along. A true friend and after high school, he left us for other adventures. God Bless.

Henry was part of our crew growing up. A great friend if you were ever lucky enough to meet him. He was in our wedding in 1972. He retired early and left for a warmer place where he lived his life the way he wanted. Sadly he left us all to soon. Godspeed my friend.
