Henry "Hank" William Shealy Jr. was born on November 22, 1952, in Charleston, South Carolina to Henry and Joyce Shealy. He passed from this life on March 27, 2026. Right out of high school, Hank joined the United States Army, and this would bring him to Fort Polk. After leaving the military, he met the love of his life Deborah Legg Shealy and began raising a family. He worked in construction for the majority of his life and was known for being a hard worker. Henry never met a stranger and had the ability to talk to anyone. Playing cards with his friends was something he enjoyed, but most of all, he deeply loved his family and time spent with them was precious. Being outside on the porch telling old stories or having conversations with his family brought him joy and he loved all of them dearly. Whether they called him Pop or Poppye, his grandchildren sincerely loved him. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Preceding Hank in death are his parents Henry William Shealy Sr. and Joyce Elizabeth Zorn Shealy.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 49 years, Deborah Legg Shealy of Leesville; son, William Clayton Shealy (Brandi) of Leesville; daughters, Dawn Legg Almond (Winn) of Coushatta, LA and Jessica Rene Shealy of Leesville; sister, Karen Rogers; grandchildren, Gracie Messick (Kamden), Witt Almond, Haleigh Shealy, Henry William Shealy III, Hinslie Shealy, Abby Shealy, and Emilyn Shealy; and two great-grandchildren, Blaire Messick and Trace Messick.
