Henry M. Steadman (Lynn Police Officer, Ret.), 78, a lifelong resident of Lynn, Massachusetts, a U.S. Coast Guard veteran of World War II, a member of the Lynn Police Department for 23 years before his retirement in 1981, died at Union Hospital on Wednesday, December 20, 2000, following a brief illness. Calling hours are scheduled for Friday, December 22, 2000, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., at Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, December 23, 9 a.m., at the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Saturday, 10 a.m., at St. Joseph's Church.
