Henry M. Szuflita Jr.

Henry M. Szuflita, Jr., 73, husband of the late Beverly M. Szuflita of Carol Stream, IL. passed away on Thursday, August 11, 2022 in his home. Born December 12, 1948, Henry (Hank) was the son of the late Henry (Sr.) and Helen Szuflita. Hank served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Hank was a proud veteran and was regularly affiliated with VFW Tioga Post 2149 in Wood Dale, IL for many years. Hank was a skilled carpenter, loved to go camping and fishing and owned his own business. He was a dedicated caretaker for his wife until her passing. Hank and Beverly were married for 42 years. Hank loved dogs, watching movies, cooking, going to the library and building things. He loved going to church and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Roselle.
He is survived by his grandchildren, John (Jennifer) Butler of TN, Robert (Cheyanne) Butler of IL and Nicole (Ken) Kohler of NC; and 8 great-grandchildren, Joslyn, Bella, Carter, Abby, Kennedy, Ray, McKinley and Mason. Hank is preceded in death by his wife, Beverly, his son, Robbie, his step-daughter, Kathy and his parents, Henry (Sr.) and Helen.
A memorial service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 405 S. Rush Street, Roselle, IL on Friday, September 9 at 9:30am. Henry will then be interred, alongside his wife, at the Abraham Lincoln Memorial Cemetery on September 9, 2022 at 12:30pm.
