Henry Marsh "Hank" Tullis, age 91, of Wells, Texas, passed away at his home on December 21, 2025. He was born on March 14, 1934, to James Guy Tullis and Vernie Bell Henderson Tullis. He proudly served in the United States Navy from 1954 to 1958 as a Radio Operator. He spent much of his life devoted to the training and competition of hunting dogs, which was his greatest passion. As a professional hunting dog trainer, he traveled extensively throughout the United States competing in hunts and earned numerous awards and trophies for both his own dogs and those of his clients. Among his proudest accomplishments was training his dog, Cowboy, to the title of Grand Hunting Retriever Champion. Hank was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Alto, Texas, where he joined in the early 1980s. During his years there, he served as a Royal Ambassadors (RA) teacher and participated in the church choir.

He is survived by his four daughters: Susie Pope (Chad), Vicki Phillips (Terry), Cathy Hart (Troy), and Cheri Crum (Mark). He is also survived by nine grandchildren: Kordell Hackney (Ashlynn), Charlie Tullis, Brylee Tullis, Jordan McWilliams (Garron), Mia Skinner, Ariana Skinner, Laura Flores, Dalton Hart, and Wyatt Hart, as well as numerous great-grandchildren. He is further survived by his sister, Mary Ann Lang (Buddy), and several nieces and nephews: Gary Tullis, Lynn Littlejohn, Mark Caldwell, Shane Caldwell, Billy Caldwell, Bobby Tullis and Randy Tullis. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Guy Tullis and Vernie Bell Henderson Tullis, his brothers, Dean Tullis and Robert Carol Tullis and his nephews, Terry Tullis and Jimmy Tullis.

Visitation will be held at O.T. Allen Funeral Home in Alto, Texas, on Saturday, December 27, 2025, beginning at 12:00 noon, with the funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held afterward at Alto City Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the United States Navy Honor Guard.

Pallbearers will be Mark Caldwell, Shane Caldwell, Randy Tullis, Marcellous Anderson, Chad Pope, and Kordell Hackney. Honorary Pallbearers will be Terry Phillips, Charlie Tullis and Brylee Tullis. Hank will be remembered primarily for his dedication to the sport of hunting dog training and the reputation he built within that community over many decades.
